Why do they do this? Why can't they be bothered to buy new work from these writers? I want new stories. New material.:::quiet sobbing::::I was so eager for my Christmas candy, I didn't pay close enough attention. I should have known that Emma Jensen hadn't broken her silence.Waaaaaaahhhhh It's worse than opening a Christmas present and finding out that it's the same one you gave to that person last year. Okay, maybe not that tacky but pretty damned close.I only gave it four stars because I don't blame the authors and I think they're the ones that are more affected by stars. (I didn't love the Heath one but the others all produce that happy sigh a really good sappy story can give)
I bought this for the B Metzger and C Kelly stories, I'm a big fan of both. Neither one failed me, I thoroughly enjoyed them. The other authors were new to me, but I'm glad now to have read their stories, and will look for other books by them! Especially as the second story by Emma Jensen is actually set in the small village where I live......how cool is that! :)
Have read this series of books for at least twenty years and it has become a favorite Christmas tradition. Nice light stories that are PG rated. Reminds us that life can be much more simple which helps keep Christmas in context.
Great series, but I read it several years ago. I feel ripped off; I pre-ordered the book as it had stories by several of my favorite authors. Little did I know that I had read this exact same book before.
Most anthologies are a pretty mixed bag, but this one actually has five good stories! Not all equally good, of course. "Let Nothing You Dismay," by Carla Kelly is the real prize, while the Edith Layton offering is a bit disappointing. But kudos to the editor on this one; I read every word.
Don't pass up these Christmas Regency stories. What treasures!
i got this book because the price was so low. I love the recency period. this book was not my favorite.
